Somewhere around 1995ish, a man walked by a railway station in Tiel, the Netherlands. He saw a little stuffed pig and decided it would be perfect for his daughter. Unfortunately, the little pig was sold in his bare pluche form. Thankfully the man’s wife was a kick-ass knitter, which is how Knorf came by his signature orange scarf (and at times; hats). The couple’s daughter loved the pig instantly and named him Knorf.
Knorf went wherever the family went, including on holidays and business trips . The wanderlust was strong in this little piggy. Even without them, he decided to keep on travelling. Knorf now hitches a piggyback ride (sorry) with whomever he trusts. He has seen a lot. He wants to see more.
